چکیده

This paper reviews methods that have been used to evaluate global climate simulations and to downscale global climate scenarios for the assessment of climate impacts on hydrologic systems in the Pacific Northwest, USA. The approach described has been developed to facilitate integrated assessment research in support of regional resource management. Global climate model scenarios are evaluated and selected based on historic 20 th Century simulations. A statistical downscaling method is then applied to produce a regional data set. To facilitate the use of climate projections in hydrologic assessment, additional statistical mapping may be applied to generate synthetic station time series. Finally, results are presented from a regional climate model that indicate important differences in the regional climate response from what is captured by global models and statistical downscaling.

Assessment of Downscaling Methods in Predicting Climatic Parameters under Climate Change Status: A case study in Ardabil Synoptic Station

Climate change is an unprecedented change are taking place. Changes of meteorological parameters such as precipitation, maximum and minimum temperatures. Since weather forecasting is important for these parameters, in this study, the performance of Statistical Downscaling Model (SDSM and Lars-WG) were used to predict temperature and precipitation and mean of these changes for the periods 2046-2...

Evaluating Changes and Forecasting Minimum Temperature in the West of Mazandaran Province Using Statistical Downscaling Model SDSM

In the vast majority parts of the Earth, a prospect now visible is the mostly synthetic thinking and fabrication by the human hand. Investigation of Climate Change Effect on Drought Characteristics in the Future Period using the HadCM3 model (Case Study: Khoy Station, Northwest of Iran)

Investigation of drought event has a great importance in the natural resources and water resources management and planning. In this research, the effect of the climate change on drought characteristics in Khoy station was investigated using the HadCM3 model under B2 scenario. The statistical downscaling was executed using SDSM 4.2.9 and observed daily precipitation, observed predictors and...
